Our Maialida Team
I recently retired from Yale University where I served as the Director of the Center for Language Study, Associate Dean of Yale College, and Professor (Adj.) of Linguistics. Prior to that, I taught at the University of Pennsylvania and at the University of California, Berkeley.
I hold a Ph.D. in Linguistics from the University of Florida and have published extensively in the area of language education and applied linguistics.

Noely Van Deusen
As Co-Founder of Maialida, I also serve as the lead instructor for our English language courses. I have designed our specialized curriculum for young learners and offer customized instruction for our clients.
I hold a Bachelor's degree in Communications from the University of Rhode Island, a Master's degree in Marketing from Montpellier Business School (France), and a TESOL Certificate from Arizona State University. I am passionate about teaching English to children and adults and am excited to work with you!
